The importance of networking during my internship

I’ve been interning for a few months now, and I’ve realized how crucial networking is in a corporate environment. I’ve made some great connections so far, like with a senior manager who offered to mentor me. Has anyone else had similar experiences where networking helped them gain valuable insights or opportunities in their internships?

I totally agree about the power of networking! During my internship, I found that reaching out for informational interviews, even just a quick chat, really helped me learn about different roles and gain insights. Have you thought about setting up more of those meetings?

Networking can be a game changer. I remember having a similar experience during my internship when I reached out to someone for coffee, and it opened up opportunities I never expected. Just a tip: try using LinkedIn to connect with people after meeting them in person; it can really keep the conversation going.

You’re right, networking feels a bit like fishing: the more lines you put in the water, the better your chances! Have you thought about attending any industry events to cast your net wider? @abigail_tho69.
