I know many of us are feeling the pressure of adjusting to life here while balancing work and cultural differences. Recently, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of connecting with others in our community for support. Have any of you found resources or groups that have really made a difference in your experience?
But connecting with others is crucial. I’ve found that joining local meetups really helps break the ice, especially when you’re feeling the cultural differences. For instance, there’s a group on Meetup.com specifically for J-1 holders that meets weekly.
It’s so true, building connections is key! I recently found that going to a local cooking class really helped me bond with others while learning a bit about the culture. @alexander_lew13, have you tried any activities like that? It’s a great way to ease the pressure and make new friends.
