I’m on prep 6 a.m.–2 p.m… then back for dinner rush, and I’m trying to finish ServSafe by next month — how are you fitting study time without zoning out? I’ve been quizzing between blanching batches and label checks on the walk-in, but practice tests after 10 p.m. feel useless; any tactics that stuck while keeping guest service tight during peak?
I kept a one-page card with ‘41°F–135°F danger zone, 2-hour/4-hour rule, cooling steps’ taped inside my knife roll and quizzed one line every time I sanitized the board, which kept it sticky without pulling focus during the rush. If the kitchen noise kills recall, switch to a focused 7-minute scribble drill right before clock-in and skip late-night practice. If you want the template, I can share it.
