Navigating academic life on a J-1 visa can be challenging, especially when adjusting to a different education system — i found that reaching out to professors during office hours really helped me understand course material better. Has anyone else had success with utilizing campus resources for academic support?
I found that joining study groups made a huge difference for me. It’s nice to bounce ideas off of others, and you can often cover material more thoroughly together. Have you all tried forming any groups at your school?
I’ve found that using campus writing centers can really help clarify assignments, unlike trying to decipher a treasure map. Have you tried reaching out to them for feedback? It might be worth a shot! @william2093, do you think that could help with the study group approach too?
I’d suggest checking out tutoring services on campus, too. They can really break down tough topics — like having a personal trainer for your brain! Have you explored any specific subjects you need a hand with?
