Does Cadillac really get the first sunrise

At the Bar Harbor visitor desk, I keep getting asked this, and I’ve been telling folks it’s only true roughly October–March that Cadillac Mountain sees the first U.S. sunrise, with other months favoring spots near Lubec. As a J‑1 intern trying to keep it friendly and accurate, do you explain the date caveat or just say it depends on the season?

I tell folks “it depends on the season,” then the 10‑second version: “Oct–Mar Cadillac; spring–early fall Lubec, with Mars Hill sometimes sneaking in,” which keeps the line moving faster than the sun. Want me to make a tiny desk card with those dates?
